Job Description
Schedule and manage Internal supply to support pre-defined production plan / MPS. Optimise internal supply chain efficiency and inventory levels whilst achieving high OTD performance.
PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES
- Make recommendations regarding ERP parameters and maintain as required.
- Participate in the MRP validation process then analyse and process exception messages (increase/decrease, progress, delay, cancel an order etc..) resulting from the MRP
- Confirm and communicate requirements and changes resulting from the MRP to the internal supplier by confirming any necessary modifications that are to be made
- Launch and sequence the production orders to reduce non value added time (Inc. subcontracting of phases) in line with ERP recommendations. Print the Routing Cards for Manufacturing
- Identify supply constraints and escalate as necessary.
- Obtain acknowledgement from other UAP’s for any changes or modifications to requirements
- Negotiate deadlines and quantities with internal suppliers within the limits of the service level agreement established
- Provide information and visibility necessary to the internal customers (grab list/load capacity) and suggest solutions in case of imbalances
- Ensure the accuracy of the stock levels by monitoring the receipting of supplier deliveries and the closing of production orders to ensure that production schedules are updated
- Measure and analyse performance in coordination with the manufacturing unit using the defined metrics and provides the required weekly/monthly reports
- Analyse the root cause of metrics not at target level and work with the Manufacturing unit to develop the necessary action/recovery plans
- Oversee the progress of manufacturing on the internal supplier’s unit, manage delivery receipts, follow the flow through to reception of articles, manage administrative disputes and organise supplier returns
- Establish and implement actions plans to limit uncertainties and hazards in the short term horizon and work with the internal supplier to shorten production cycles within their manufacturing process
- Analyse the impacts of requests for technical modifications and other changes within their scope of activity and implement the action plans after these requests have been validated
- Responsible for the closing and archiving of production orders

- In daily control rooms and QRQC
- In internal supplier scheduling (capacity and critical material/components)
- In managing obsolescence
- In Stock Takes, Audits and Assessments
- In rate readiness exercises & capital investment exercises
- In improvement projects with their internal supplier and internal manufacturing units to improve delivery performance
- Maintaining the logistics guidelines
- Communication interface between relevant manufacturing units
MANDATORY EXPERTISE
Good knowledge and understanding of the principles of MRP2
Basic knowledge of business economics
Understand the basic rules of customs and transport

Familiar with desktop tools (especially Excel)
