Description
JOB SUMMARY:
- The Production Planner will be responsible for planning the production of aerospace components, assemblies, and systems. The preferred candidate is a highly motivated, results-oriented team player who performs effectively in both business planning and production environments.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generating, monitoring, and expediting production schedules
Coordinating supply chain, inventory, and production activity
Vetting MRP-generated production orders
Identifying and mitigating production order material shortages/challenges
Planning production routing, sequencing, and methods
Executing planned production orders
Managing production order revisions
Preparing, evaluating and disseminating metrics, reports, procedures, and documents
Prepare data reviews and present findings
Present and lead weekly GEMBA meetings
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or a related field
Relative production planning or relative experience preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
Professional interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and balance competing priorities
Strong analytical, reasoning and organizational skills
Ability to problem solve in complex and ambiguous situations
Experience working with MS Office suite
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, parts lists, bill-of-materials (BOM) and production routings
Fundamental knowledge of aircraft, systems and parts preferred
