Description
A Cable Harness Box Builder is responsible for assembling, routing, and installing electrical wiring harnesses and components into control boxes, panels, or enclosures. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and hands on skill with electrical assembly tools.
Harness & Box Assembly
• Build and assemble cable harnesses according to schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
• Install wiring, connectors, terminals, and components into electrical boxes or enclosures
• Route, bundle, and secure cables using ties, clamps, and protective coverings
• Perform crimping, soldering, stripping, and termination of wires
Quality & Compliance
• Inspect harnesses and assemblies for accuracy, workmanship, and compliance with standards
• Conduct continuity checks and basic electrical testing
• Follow IPC/WHMA A 620 or company specific quality standards (if applicable)
Documentation & Workflow
• Interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions
• Record build data, test results, and any deviations or rework
• Communicate issues with engineering or production leads
Tools & Equipment
• Use hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, cutters, torque tools, and soldering irons
• Operate basic test equipment (multimeters, continuity testers)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a production team
Preferred Qualifications
• IPC/WHMA A 620 certification
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, industrial controls, or electronics manufacturing
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S practices
Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Fine motor skills for detailed electrical work
• Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs depending on workplace requirements

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
