About the Role & Your ImpactAs a Non-Destructive Quality Engineer, you will play a vital role in protecting product safety, reliability, and performance by developing and implementing advanced nondestructive testing (NDT) methods. Supporting revolutionary aerospace and defense systems will directly influence the quality and success of critical technologies used around the world.

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12 Months)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday 4x10 (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $130.24 per hour
Travel: Up to 10
Work Arrangement: Onsite only (no telework)
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
What You’ll DoIn this high-impact role, you will:
Develop and implement advanced nondestructive inspection techniques, methods, and procedures
Inspect rocket motors, composite aerospace structures, and energetic/non-energetic components
Review engineering designs and drawings to select the most effective NDT methods
Prepare inspection documentation, parameters, and technical requirements
Conduct technical audits of NDT personnel and ensure compliance with industry standards
Support production teams by troubleshooting equipment and assisting with maintenance
Participate in R&D programs to improve inspection capabilities and introduce new technologies
Create detailed technical reports, graphics, data summaries, and recommendations
Maintain and archive inspection data and records
Collaborate with design, quality, and project teams to ensure cost-effective and reliable inspection strategies
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and advanced quality programs
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, Master’s with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
Minimum 2 years holding Level 3 certification per NAS 410 in Eddy Current (ET), Ultrasonic (UT), or Radiography (RT)
Willingness and ability to obtain additional Level 3 certifications (ET, MT, UT, RT, PT)
Willingness to cross-train in additional NDT methods
Ability to pass NAS 410 vision testing requirements
Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred QualificationsExperience in aerospace NDT applications
Background in root cause analysis and corrective action
Knowledge of CAD software and digital design tools
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data reporting tools
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive technical solutions
Strong communication and collaboration skills

Pay Details: $130.24 per hour
