Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6-Month Assignment)
Schedule: Monday–Friday First Shift (8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
Pay Rate: Starting at $72.59 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Engineer to support advanced aerospace programs in Berkeley, Missouri. In this role, you will ensure material integrity, regulatory compliance, and product reliability across the product lifecycle.
This is a non-managerial, individual contributor position requiring strong technical expertise and independent execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesApply NDE/NDT methods including ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current, penetrant inspection, and other acoustic, electromagnetic, thermal, optical, and radiologic techniques
Develop, validate, and qualify tools, materials, equipment, and manufacturing processes
Define technical requirements and maintain engineering specifications
Lead supplier qualification efforts, audits, and test programs
Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASNT, ASTM, AWS, ASME, ISO)
Conduct failure investigations and root cause analyses; implement corrective actions
Evaluate emerging NDE technologies for application
Support audits and serve as NDE subject matter expert
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field
Minimum 5 years of engineering experience
Ability to work independently in a regulated environment
Strong communication skills
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred QualificationsHands-on NDE/NDT engineering experience in aerospace, defense, energy, or similar regulated industries
Knowledge of materials behavior, stress analysis, and fracture mechanics
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (preferred)
Education & Experience EquivalencyBachelor’s + 9 years
Master’s + 7 years
PhD + 4 years

Pay Details: $72.59 per hour
