The Principal Enterprise Architect plays a pivotal role in the development, delivery, implementation, and operational support of network services at designated branch sites.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for deploying and operating Data Center & Network infrastructure based on standardized architecture.
- Build and operate data networks over a unified physical and logical network, transitioning traditional and legacy networks using Software Defined Networking, Network Function Virtualization, Automation, and Orchestration.
- Design and deploy Cloud Network Infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Collaborate closely with factory and operational technology teams to understand end-to-end operational workflows and assist in designing standard network architecture.
- Proactively monitor and manage the network/server infrastructure to prevent business disruptions.
Qualifications
**YOU MUST HAVE:**
- Bachelor’s Degree OR 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience.
- 8+ years of total IT Infrastructure experience in Network and Server infrastructure design and implementation.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in configuring Data Center Switching and Routing Networks.
**WE VALUE:**
- Experience in supporting the operations and maintenance of VMware virtual infrastructure, including, but not limited to, vCenter Server Appliance, vRealize Operations Manager (vROps), and vRealize.
- Proficiency in performing upgrades and applying patches or firmware updates to virtual infrastructure software or hardware.
- Strong understanding of Private and Public Cloud technologies.
- Operational support experience across a wide range of technologies, including VMware NSX, Cisco, Citrix Load Balancer, VMware Networking, Routers, Switches, Software-based Networking, Firewalls, ACLs, and DMZ.
- Comprehensive Data Center knowledge, including Nexus Routing & Switching.
- Expertise in TCP/IP model, OSPF, BGP, IP addressing, and routing best practices.
- Proficiency with switching technologies such as VTP, 802.1q, VLAN, EtherChannel, Trunking, Port Security, STP, and RSTP.
- Strong experience with the following products/solutions:
- Cisco Nexus 7K, 9K
- Catalyst 9000 switches and 5K’s (UCS)
- ISR 4000 and 1000 routers
- Robust experience in operating and troubleshooting complex networks with segmentation and virtualization.
- Strong experience with Cisco ACI Spine and Leaf architecture.
- Skills in partnering with internal customers at all levels to define problems, identify solutions, and facilitate change.
- Proven ability to analyze complex problems and decompose them into logical, actionable components.
- Programming, scripting, and developing code on Unix using APIs, Python, or equivalent is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective listening and teamwork.
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated bias for action.
- Ability to be a change agent and promote positive change within the organization, demonstrating a commitment to continual improvement and efficiency.
- Excellent oral, written, and collaborative communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at the executive level.
