Procurement Engineer; 12 month contract; based at Warton; 37 hours a week; 2-3 days in the office; 22.15 per hour PAYE

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a global aerospace manufacturing company within their Air Sector at Warton supporting the Sensors Procurement team (currently 15 people) with delivering their procurement strategy and project objectives to the required levels. Specifically the individual would be managing the Procurement elements of delivering the Phase 4 Enhancement for the Defensive Aids for the Typhoon by managing the performance of our key supplier.

Typical duties include (but are not limited to):
- Purchase Order Management
- Relationship Management with the Supplier and Internal Stakeholders
- Ensuring the Supplier delivers to their commitments by regular communication including face to face reviews
- Finance and Purchase Order Payment management
- Attending and reporting at Senior Operations Reviews on project performance
- Working closely with the Project Management and Engineering functions as if in an Integrated Project Team
- Leading Supplier Reviews with cross-functional support
- Supporting Customer Reviews as required

The successful applicant will be competent in the use of Microsoft applications and have experience of managing supplier relationships. Proven experience of procurement capabilities is required and you will need to be an excellent communicator who can interact with diverse groups across organisational levels.
