ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES : 

• Design and define logistics flows and the associated means necessary to execute them 

• Create, update and maintain work instructions, processes and supporting documents 

• Contribute to the deployment of new logistics activities and/or changes to existing logistics activities 

• Identify opportunities to change the logistics methods to improve the efficiency and quality of our activities 

• Build a strong relationship and trust with the operations team and the customer 

• Interact with the engineering and projects team on other Daher sites (North America, Europe) to share best practices, benchspan, progress, experience, challenges, standards. 

• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities on the logistics activities 

• Leading the methods portion of new projects on the logistics activities (activity transfers, process improvement, logistics flows/means modification, etc.) 

• Develop the efficiency and accuracy of logistics activities 

• Drive the continuous improvement initiatives of the logistics activities 

• Ensure the application of the logistics basics in line with Daher group’s goals 

• Actively take part in the development of logistics and industrial services 

• Participate actively in internal and customer meetings (project reviews, engineering roadmap, etc.) 

• Represent Daher’s SeeD methodology for logistics methods and continuous improvement within the team 

 
Optimization 

• Carry out studies relating to the logistics processes of customer sites and Group sites with a view to optimizing storage, flows and organization. 

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative studies of the logistics flow chain from the collection, analysis and interpretation of data, from a rationalization and optimization perspective (quality, profitability, deadlines, safety). 

• Conduct operational audits on the logistics flow chain 

• Support the implementation of new logistics systems 

• Conduct logistics investment studies (ROI calculation, etc.)

Education : 

• Bachelor’s Degree 

• Minimum experience of 3-5 years in Logistics material flow and warehouse layout 

Skills and Requirements: 

• Simple, straightforward communication and reporting capabilities 

• Master the Office suite (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) 

• Experience in industrial or retail logistics operations (3PL or inhouse) or production 

• Specific conditions linked to the position (flexible work hours, etc.) 

• Position stationed in Daher’s Mobile area sites, potential travel opportunities for training and benchspaning -Flexible, versatile and open-minded, able to manage multiple assignments (big or small) in parallel 

• Problem-solver and out-of-the-box thinker-Self-driven, results oriented, work towards a common goal 

• Excellent customer service and orientation skills. 

• Motivated self-starter, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 

• Accuracy and attention to details in daily activities. 

• Highly organized, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. 

Preferred Experience: 

• Industrial or Engineering Degree 

• Experience in warehouse and inventory management. 

• Previous experience with warehouse design and layout. 

• Experience working in a global organization and supporting global projects. 

• AutoCad(2D) 

• Macros knowledge 

• Aviation experience is a plus.
