This internship will take place in Knoxville, TN from May 2026 through August 2026. Start and end dates are flexible to school schedule.
Cirrus -- a market leader committed to redefining and growing personal aviation -- is looking for a talented Legal Intern to join our lean and dynamic legal team for the Summer. Reporting to the Corporate Counsel, the Corporate Legal Intern will provide hands-on legal support to Cirrus corporate legal department including working directly with the General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, Corporate Counsel, and Corporate Paralegal. In all matters, the successful candidate will not only display legal excellence, but also attention to detail, a proactive and practical approach, an unwavering dedication to customer service, and a collegial and cooperative personal style.
Duties And Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Meet with and establish relationships with internal clients to help solve complex legal problems.
- Work closely with General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, Corporate Counsel, and Corporate Paralegal on special projects.
- Perform legal research.
- Draft contractual memoranda and letters.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Presenting to various teams across the organization.
- Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily with minimal supervision.
- Some travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a law degree at an accredited law school. Preference given to 2L or 3L students, but 1L are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Interest in General Aviation and the aerospace industry.

- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.
- Must be able to complete entire duration of internship.
- Must be able to secure local housing for duration of internship.
