Job Title: Composite Technician
Job Description
The composite technician will be responsible for repairing damaged composite aircraft sidewalls. This role involves removing composite sidewalls from crates, inspecting them for damage, de-laminating, sanding, pre-painting, applying epoxy, and re-laminating to restore them to a like-new condition. The technician will perform thorough visual inspections to ensure quality before re-packaging. Additionally, minor assembly of up to 15-18 small parts using hand tools is required in this manual process.
Responsibilities
- Repair damaged composite aircraft sidewalls.
- Remove and inspect composite sidewalls for damage.
- Perform de-lamination, sanding, pre-painting, epoxy application, and re-lamination.
- Conduct visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform minor assembly of small parts using hand tools.
Essential Skills
- Experience in composite repair, sanding, epoxy application, and lamination.
- Proficiency in visual inspection techniques.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in woodworking and paint preparation.
- Ability to work with hand tools.
- Possessing personal tools is a plus.

Work Environment
Two shift options are available: a 5/10 schedule from Thursday to Monday, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, and a 4/10 schedule from Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a half-hour unpaid lunch. Overtime is available as needed. Work as part of a team of 5-10 people, and having your own tools is advantageous but not mandatory.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensboro, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
