We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing freight, ensuring accuracy in documentation, and maintaining a well-organized work area. This position involves both physical and data entry tasks, requiring proficiency in inventory and shipping processes.

Responsibilities

• Sort purchase, work, and repair orders of incoming freight and move them to receiving tables.
• Open incoming containers and match attached paperwork to parts.
• Inspect for visual damage and move freight to designated locations.
• Open work orders for incoming shop service work.
• Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
• Properly validate content and weigh all outbound shipments.
• Sort and stack outbound packages in proper staging areas for carrier pick-up.
• Verify shipment documentation matches carrier as well as P/N and S/N of units being shipped.
• Perform general housekeeping to ensure a neat and organized work area.
• Maintain 5S compliance.

• Experience in inventory, shipping and receiving, and material handling.
• Proficiency in inventory control and RF scanners.
• Data entry skills.

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• 1 year or more of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of Corridor and shipping software.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
• Ability to use hand tools, material handling, and packaging equipment.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The work environment is fast-paced and requires attention to detail to ensure the smooth processing of shipments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
