Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position OverviewThe Service & Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, servicing, repairing, and maintaining lifting and transport equipment. This role focuses on ensuring equipment safety, functionality, and compliance through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and electrical safety testing. The technician will work across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a team-oriented environment with opportunities for training and growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Inspection & MaintenanceInspect and register new and existing lifting equipment
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on lifting and transport equipment
Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards
Mechanical & Electrical ServiceDiagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Perform installation and servicing of equipment according to specifications
Conduct electrical safety testing to ensure compliance
Troubleshooting & RepairIdentify faults and perform root cause analysis on equipment issues
Execute timely repairs to minimize downtime and support operations
Apply logical problem-solving skills to resolve breakdowns
Assembly & Equipment HandlingAssemble and disassemble lifting and transport equipment
Support handling, setup, and readiness of tools and equipment for use
Documentation & ComplianceMaintain accurate service records and documentation
Follow HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) best practices at all times
Ensure adherence to company standards and procedures
Team & Operational SupportCollaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation as required
Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency efforts
Performance ExpectationsConsistent delivery of safe, high-quality maintenance work
Accurate inspections with minimal rework or missed defects
Timely completion of service and repair tasks
Full compliance with safety, quality, and operational guidelines
Required QualificationsExperience in equipment maintenance, repair, and inspection
Strong mechanical knowledge with exposure to electrical and hydraulic systems
Ability to read and interpret procedures, drawings, diagrams, and specifications
Experience performing troubleshooting, fault finding, and repairs
Proficiency with basic computer applications (MS Office)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred QualificationsExperience working with lifting or rigging equipment
Background in industrial or energy-related environments
Familiarity with safety inspections and compliance standards
