Summary:
Perform on- and off-aircraft electrical modifications to wiring and system components
Execute complex connector terminations, including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring
Handle, route, seal, wrap, bond, tie, and close wire harnesses per standard processes
Read and interpret engineering drawings, wire diagrams, technical orders, and process specifications
Troubleshoot electrical systems and environmental components of moderate difficulty
Conduct assembly, installation, operational testing, and verification of wire bundles and electrical assemblies
Ensure compliance with DOD, manufacturer, company, supplier, and other directives
Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot test and assembly equipment
Consult with management and peers to determine best work processes
Train and mentor less senior employees; may lead teams on complex tasks
Prioritize workload to meet schedules on assigned projects
Perform duties of lower electrics classifications as needed
Follow Hazardous Energy and Lockout/Tagout procedures to maintain safety
Maintain certifications, licenses, and permits required for assigned work
Comply with site-specific tools and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) procedures
Perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs (occasionally with assistance), climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces or elevated platforms
Requirements:
Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Clearance (interim and/or final post-start; U.S. Citizenship required)
High School Diploma or equivalent
4+ years of experience performing electrical/electronic modifications, troubleshooting, and system installation on aircraft
Knowledge of electrical/electronic theories and systems sufficient to perform assigned duties
Ability to work rotating shifts (1st and 2nd shift)
Ability to pass end-of-training assessment
Frequent walking, standing, balancing, reaching overhead, and working on ladders or elevated platforms
Occasional crawling, squatting, bending, lying down, or operating foot controls for extended periods
Ability to lift 35 lbs regularly; occasional 2-person lift for >50 lbs
Exposure to noise, metals, and other manufacturing hazards
Use of personal protective equipment for face, eyes, ears, hands, and arms
Ability to pass visual acuity and color perception tests
Regular and predictable attendance is required
