Job overview and responsibilities
Reporting to Manager or Shift Manager, represent the station Technical Operations department in a professional manner while interacting and coordinating with other departments in the Station Operations Center (SOC), Technical Operations Maintenance Control (TOMC), Aircraft Move Dispatch, and Flight Crews.
The primary responsibility of an HMC is to be the focal point of contact for the hub’s line maintenance operation. This will include, but is not limited to:
Respond to all radio calls received from the flight crews while on the ground
Receive and coordinate maintenance discrepancies initiated by inbound and outbound flight crews to maintenance technicians
Troubleshoot and communicate with the pilots for a system reset or MEL application
Be the focal point of contact between maintenance supervisors, technicians, and business partners to communicate any aircraft discrepancies
Initiate and update TOCS (Technical Operations Computer System) to reflect updates on aircraft status.
Provide timely, accurate, and fact-based communication with all stakeholders regarding aircraft to minimize the impact on the flight schedule.
Coordinate all aircraft moves to the terminal and communicate with the move team and hangar supervisor / leads as necessary to ensure airplanes are delivered to gate to meet the MST requirement.
Verify / report all maintenance delays / cancellations through the HMC−AMT Delay / Cancel Report application.
Be the focal point of communication for any emergency aircraft event requiring maintenance interaction according to local station Emergency Action Plan
QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
High school diploma or equivalent
FAA A&P Certificate
5 years in the aircraft maintenance industry preferably in a line environment
Extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations and applicable FAA regulations
Must have clear verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with flight crews and technicians via radio
Must be able to multi-task and handle multiple events happening at the same time
Builds and maintains professional and productive work environment for labor group and management teams
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
Bachelors degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
Aviation Management, Engineering, or related field
2 years in a leadership role within a large maintenance organization, including a unionized labor workforce. A proven successful track record
Strong cultural awareness to build and maintain professional relationships on a global basis
The base pay range for this role is $131,457.00 to $160,669.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
