We are currently seeking a highly skilled NDT Ultrasonics Technician with expertise in Bond Testing and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing to join a leading Aerospace & Defence manufacturing business in Yorkshire. This contract role offers a competitive rate of 40 LTD per hour and the opportunity to work on high-quality, complex components in a fast-paced environment.

Perform NDT Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing using Bond Testing, Phased Array (PAUT), and standard A-Scan/C-Scan techniques.
Support manufacturing and inspection teams to ensure products meet quality and customer specifications.
Interpret technical drawings, procedures, and specifications accurately to carry out inspections.
Provide NDT support across different production stages, with a focus from cloth cutting to assembly.
Liaise with NDT Level 3 personnel and Head of Quality for test approvals and process improvements.
Mentor and support junior technicians through on-the-job training and technical guidance.
Maintain accurate documentation including test reports, job cards, and quality records.
Comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies and foster a culture of safety and accountability.
Essential:
Valid NDT Level 2 certification in Ultrasonic Testing (including Phased Array and Bond Testing).
Strong background in ultrasonic inspection methods, ideally within a composites or aerospace environment.
Hands-on experience using A-Scan, C-Scan, and Phased Array equipment.
Proven ability to follow technical instructions and complete detailed inspection reports.
Previous experience in a process-driven production or assembly environment.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
Desirable:
Experience working with composite materials.
Familiarity with quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
