Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector I will identify problems with workmanship or process damage. Ensure the quality of produced assemblies by physical and visual inspection to verify characteristic against predetermined specifications, drawings or standards. Essential Functions:
- Works from blueprints, customer drawings, engineering change notices, military standards, and established operating procedures to determine acceptance, rejection or rework requirements of assembled units or supplier components
- Conducts visual inspection to verify physical properties
- Ensures the build and test manufacturing process has been completed
- Communicates errors and systemic trends to the quality organization
- Enters data into software tools
- Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of one year experience as a Quality Inspector or Operator in an electronics manufacturing environment required
- Knowledge: Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Skills/Abilities: Effective verbal and written communication skills; Competence to perform inspections using calipers, thread gages, scales, micro-hite; General PC skills, including Word, Excel and Oracle
- Ability to interpret drawings and part specifications
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment, including interfacing with Order Management, Internal Quality Engineers, Customers and other Internal Management personnel
- Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards
- Familiar with AS9102 First Article Requirements

- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
- May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
- Involves handling parts in compliance with Electrostatic Discharge Devices (ESD procedures)
- Standing: 10 *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
- Sitting: 90 *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
- Lifting (in pounds): up to 40 pounds
- Pushing (in pounds): up to 40 pounds
- Mental/Visual: use of computer
- Workspace: work bench
Salary range: $20.96/hr. - $25.82/hr. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
