Job Description:

Position Summary:  

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused AOG (Aircraft on Ground) Manager to lead and oversee all external AOG recovery and response operations. This leadership role is critical in ensuring rapid, efficient, and professional field support for our valued clients, primarily corporate flight departments, charter operators, and aircraft owners. The AOG Manager will coordinate mobile field teams, oversee logistics and tooling, and serve as the primary escalation point for external AOG events, ensuring exceptional customer communication and satisfaction throughout the aircraft recovery process.  

The ideal candidate brings deep operational expertise in business and corporate aviation and is well-versed across multiple aircraft platforms including Gulfstream, Bombardier, Citation, Falcon, Embraer, and King Air models.  

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Lead and manage mobile AOG field teams to ensure timely, compliant, and professional aircraft recovery at domestic and international customer locations.  

  • Maintain and oversee a 24/7 rapid response operation supporting external customers with minimal aircraft downtime.  

  • Serve as the primary escalation contact for AOG events, providing high-level support to external clients, including owners, directors of maintenance, and flight departments.  

  • Coordinate directly with OEMs, vendors, and third-party logistics to expedite repair solutions and improve field outcomes.  

  • Ensure all mobile units, tooling, and service vehicles are audit-ready, clean, compliant, and fully equipped for immediate deployment.  

  • Perform regular maintenance vehicle audits, tool audits, and consumable inventory tracking to support remote service readiness.  

  • Monitor field part and tool stock levels; collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure MSUs are properly equipped for dispatch.  

  • Provide real-time updates to external customers throughout AOG events; ensure transparency and clarity during service execution.  

  • Supervise and support AOG technicians in the field, ensuring service quality, regulatory compliance, and clear documentation.  

  • Review work orders, parts usage, and corrective action documentation for completeness and accuracy.  

  • Track and report on AOG performance metrics, including dispatch time, resolution speed, field cost, and customer feedback.  

  • Continuously improving customer response processes, communication protocols, and technician deployment strategies.  

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of MSU technicians, ensuring OEM technical relevance and field safety standards.  

  • Actively participate in after-hours response and on-call management rotation for critical customer needs.

Preferred Aircraft Experience:  

  • Gulfstream: GIV, GV, G450, G550, G650, G700  

  • Bombardier: Challenger 300/350/604/605, Global 5000/6000/7500  

  • Cessna Citation: CJ series, XLS, Sovereign, Latitude, Longitude  

  • Beechcraft: King Air 90/200/300/350 series  

  • Dassault Falcon: 2000, 900, 7X, 8X  

  • Embraer: Phenom 100/300, Legacy 450/500/600  

Working Conditions:  

  • Requires after-hours and weekend availability to support AOG response demands  

  • Frequent travel to remote airports, customer hangars, and operational sites under variable environmental conditions  

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform work in confined or elevated areas

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:  

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required  

  • 10+ years of aircraft maintenance experience, including 5+ years of recent AOG or remote field repair experience  

  • Proven leadership experience within an MRO, OEM field team, or AOG environment focused on external clients  

  • Thorough understanding of FAA regulations (Parts 91, 135, and 145) and OEM repair procedures  

  • Excellent leadership, customer service, and decision-making skills under pressure  

  • Proficient with CAMP, Corridor, Airtable, and Microsoft Office Suite  

  • Valid driver's license and passport with ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice  

  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, must provide two forms of Federal Identification  

  • Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine the suitability for the position.    

  • This position is classified as a Safety-Sensitive role under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with FAA guidelines
