Job Description
Job Purpose:The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth. This role includes leadership of the finance team and active collaboration with other departments to enhance overall performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee full spectrum of financial operations including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), fixed assets, and inventory.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Maintain compliance with local and international accounting standards.
Lead timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
2. Accounting, Finance & Compliance
Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting principles, tax regulations, and corporate policies.
Focal person to handle external audits and ensure timely tax filings and regulatory submissions by working along with the tax team.
Oversee and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Review and approve purchase requisitions and monitor clearing account reconciliations.
Lead and coordinate annual stock take exercises.
Continuously evaluate and improve financial systems, tools, and reporting processes.
3. Strategic Planning & Business Support
Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.
Monitor and analyze regulatory changes and their business implications.
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and provide insights for strategic initiatives.
4. Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Provide guidance on best practices in financial management and internal controls.
5. Process Improvement
Requirements:
Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting. Audit background is required.
Professional accounting certification is required.
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), and local tax laws.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel functionalities.
Demonstrated experience in managing compliance and internal controls.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
