Pratt and Whitney - Mikro Systems Digital Technology has an exciting opportunity for a Methods Senior Software Developer.
This will be an onsite position supporting the manufacturing shop floor utilizing the latest state-of-the-art technology in aerospace manufacturing at our Charlottesville, Virginia plant facilities.

What You Will Do:
As a Software Developer at Mikro, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing and optimizing our manufacturing technology landscape. This position is deeply embedded in our operations and requires a strategic thinker with strong technical capabilities and stakeholder engagement skills.
You will be instrumental in supporting the optimization of our local ERP system, ensuring it aligns with evolving business needs and manufacturing workflows. A key responsibility will be developing integration tools that connect our homegrown Manufacturing Execution System (MES) with the ERP platform, enabling seamless data flow and operational visibility.
This role demands close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders—from shop floor operators to senior leadership—to identify, prioritize, and implement ERP system enhancements that drive efficiency, compliance, and strategic value. You’ll lead efforts to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term system integrity.
In addition, you’ll be expected to manage cross-functional projects, facilitate stakeholder alignment, and build consensus across departments within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Your ability to communicate clearly, navigate competing priorities, and deliver results will be critical to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using VB.NET and Python.
- Integrate and customize ERP systems to support manufacturing workflows.
- Analyze business needs and align them with the company’s overall Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) strategy.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the ERP roadmap.
- Build and optimize data pipelines for analytics and reporting.
- Develop dashboards and reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, IT professionals, and business analysts to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure software quality through testing, documentation, and code reviews.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical leadership within the team.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 5+ years of professional experience in software development; OR an advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 3 years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in VB.NET and Python.
- Hands-on experience with ERP platforms (e.g., Infor, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and systems integration.
- Experience with data analytics, report generation, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience in aerospace or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with SQL Server, REST APIs, and cloud platforms.
- Agile development experience.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
