Project Manager
60 - 81.05 per hour
Morson are currently recruiting an experienced Project Manager to support a range of transformation projects within the engineering industry for our distinguished defence client. Reporting directly to the Head of Transformation you will implement and report back on continuous improvement and business optimisation initiatives to senior stakeholders. With a particular emphasis on procurement of these initiatives we require a strong project manager with experience of dealing with executive stakeholders.
The role is being offered on an initial 12-month contract basis. There is an expectation of an average of 2 days per week on site across Warton and Samlesbury. We can pay a rate of 60 per hour PAYE or 81.05 per hour Umbrella inside IR35.
Responsibilities
- Deliver transformation, optimisation and business change activity, working across teams to facilitate collaboration, engagement and progress against outcomes.
- Supporting the Head of Transformation to shape and guide the approach to transformation, optimisation and business change.
- Applying good practice project & programme management to underpin delivery and constructively challenging through review.
- Managing senior stakeholders to ensure appropriate buy in and reviews of current priorities.
- Acting as a champion of business change and continuous improvement within the organisation.
- Managing procurement priorities and processes for business change initiatives.
Essential Requirements
- Project/Programme management experience within a large, international organisation.
- Experience of challenging and managing senior stakeholders.
- A background in the delivery and management of business transformation and change initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presentation to senior leaders.
- Strategic cost management/cost efficiency experience, ideally within procurement.
- A relevant degree and/or formal project management qualification.
- Background in business consulting (either internally or externally).
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will need to be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
