What You Will Do:
The Dallas Airfoil Repair Operations (DARO-AMO) is looking for a hardworking and high-energy Senior Manager (M5) to lead all machine tool and facilities activities at the site. The person in this role is responsible for managing a team of skilled traders, general maintenance employees or outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair equipment in the manufacturing shop.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage maintenance team through coaching, mentoring, and hiring additional technical expertise as needed.
Work with engineers, general contractors, and various construction trades to maintain equipment and facilities.
Planning, coordinating and overseeing all equipment PMs, repairs, improvements, and refurbishments.
Planning, coordinating and overseeing all facilities maintenance for three buildings.
Drives maintenance and reliability focused on preventive & predictive maintenance, not reactive.
Continue to develop a preventative maintenance schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities, and lead the team to deliver effectively.
Skilled in machinery troubleshooting, providing direction and assistance to diagnose equipment failures.
Familiarization with preventive, predictive, total productive maintenance and other machine improvement philosophies.
Schedule maintenance tasks based on predicted and/or measured failure rates.
Schedule and supervise visiting contractors for key equipment or skillsets while ensuring each meet company health and safety requirements.
Support, ensure, and improve compliance with local, federal, and company Environmental, Health and Safety standards.
Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.
Serve as the point of contact between P&W maintenance, operations, engineering, and environmental health and safety.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Advanced degree and 7+ years of experience in Facilities Maintenance, Engineering, Military, Manufacturing, or Industrial Project Management; OR Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree and 12+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Technical School diploma or Military Training and 14+ years of relevant industry experience.
4+ year of leadership and management experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
Degree in a STEM field, ideally in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Personnel management experience leading both hourly and salary employees, ideally in a highly technical environment.
Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
Experience leading multi-functional teams with ability to encourage teamwork, participation, and individual accountability.
Working knowledge of MRO operations, shop practices, and quality standards in an aerospace engine overhaul and repair environment.
Project management experience and ability to lead large, complex projects across different time zones.
Knowledge of continuous improvement principles and tools (CORE/ACE/Six Sigma, LEAN and RCCA) and ability to apply root cause analysis to identify, eliminate, and mistake proof recurring machine failures.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, Solumina, SAP, or similar MRP/ERP/CMMS systems.
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and influence leadership, peers, and cross-functional teams.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
