STS Technical Services is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor in Hudson, Wisconsin to lead and support a team of warehouse employees in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment. This role requires a hands-on leader with experience in operations, logistics, and team development. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support warehouse staff to achieve daily safety, quality, and productivity goals
- Address employee concerns and coach team members on performance and conduct
- Recognize positive behaviors and provide feedback to reinforce expectations
- Use structured problem-solving methods, such as the A-3 reporting format, to document and resolve issues
- Conduct daily team meetings to communicate business metrics and encourage open dialogue
- Plan and coordinate daily workloads for maximum efficiency and responsiveness
- Monitor and maintain timekeeping records through the Timekeeping System (TKS)
- Apply Workplace Organization (WPO) principles to improve layout and operational flow
- Perform and document weekly safety observation tours
- Conduct standard operating procedure (SOP) audits and enforce shop rules
- Support cross-shift collaboration and operational alignment
- Stay informed on national and local contractual requirements
- Participate in personal development initiatives through the Individual Development Plan (IDP) process
- Keep General Supervisor and Shop Committee informed of all critical updates
Qualifications:
- Prior experience supervising teams in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of scheduling, inventory control, and warehouse management systems
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures
- Basic math and analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficient in timekeeping and performance tracking systems
- Ability to lead by example, motivate employees, and maintain a safe work environment
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to fostering a collaborative team culture
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, stand, and move around a warehouse for extended periods
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Work in various temperature conditions within the warehouse
