Job Title: Harness Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a Harness Manufacturing and Production Technician responsible for the assembly, integration, inspection, and testing of electrical harnesses, cable assemblies, and interconnects used in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite systems. This role includes integrating harnesses into satellite structures, performing system testing, and supporting final satellite assembly. The position requires high attention to detail, adherence to aerospace manufacturing standards, and hands-on expertise in wire preparation, harness fabrication, and quality verification in a cleanroom or controlled production environment.
Responsibilities
- Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires and cables according to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Build and route electrical harnesses and cable assemblies for LEO satellite subsystems.
- Perform precision soldering, splicing, and connector installation per aerospace specifications.
- Apply lacing, braiding, heat-shrink, and other harness protection methods.
- Install harness assemblies onto satellite structures and subsystems.
- Route, dress, and secure harnesses while maintaining proper bend radius and strain relief.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve integration challenges.
- Perform electrical continuity and insulation resistance testing.
- Document non-conformances and assist in root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
- Accurately complete production travelers, quality records, and test reports.
- Follow ESD, FOD, and cleanroom protocols to maintain a high-quality production environment.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in soldering and electronic assembly.
- Ability to work with harnesses, with strong attention to detail.
- Competent in computer skills related to assembly tasks.
- Experience in fabrication and control panel work.
- Familiarity with mechanical components and systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Permanent Resident Card Holder, or authorized to work for any employer.
- Associates degree or certificate in a technical area.
- Experience in assembly or manufacturing.
- High aptitude for working with small electronic components, including soldering.
- Experience in the space or aeronautical field.

Work Environment
You will work in a cleanroom or controlled production environment, adhering to strict aerospace manufacturing standards. Personal protective equipment such as a respirator, safety glasses, and arm sleeves will be required to ensure a safe work environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Midland, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
