Job Title: Machinist - 2nd Shift
Job Description
As a Machinist, you will operate CNC machining centers, performing set-ups, runs, changeovers, and minor troubleshooting. You will also ensure the quality standards are met by checking and monitoring the parts being run.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machining centers.
- Perform set-ups, runs, changeovers, and minor troubleshooting.
- Check and monitor the parts being run.
- Read and interpret basic dimensions and tolerances from blueprints.
- Ensure quality standards are met.
- Produce the proper amount of parts per machine cycle time.
- Deburr and blend all machined parts.
- Perform daily maintenance on machines, including maintaining fluid levels, emptying chips, and cleaning machines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Fill out and maintain necessary paperwork.
- Exhibit consistent attendance and punctuality.
Essential Skills
- CNC machine operation experience.
- Ability to perform set-ups, changeovers, and minor troubleshooting.
- Capability to read blueprints.
- Experience using calipers and height setters, and establishing axis on CNC.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience from tech school or high school.

Work Environment
This position requires working during the shift, Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM. While mandatory overtime is in effect until June to address backlogs, volunteering for additional hours is encouraged. The work environment is non-climate controlled and involves cutting metals, which can be dirty depending on the task and very hot during summer months. Personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes and eye/ear protection, is required. The job involves the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
