About the Role & Your ImpactIn this role, you’ll combine expertise in 3D printing, scanning technologies, CAD design, and materials engineering to drive innovation and operational excellence. You’ll collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate advanced technologies that improve product performance, quality, and efficiency.
Your work will directly influence production processes, material selection, and technology adoption—helping to accelerate next-generation manufacturing solutions.

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12 Months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday First Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $40.00 – $60.00 per hour
What You’ll Do3D Equipment & CADOperate, maintain, and optimize 3D printers and scanning equipment
Design and develop 3D models for additive manufacturing, tooling, and prototypes using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
Perform dimensional verification and quality control on printed components
Stay current with emerging additive manufacturing technologies and materials
Materials & Process EngineeringProvide technical guidance on metallic and non-metallic materials, including polymer matrix composites, alloys, and structural bonding
Develop, evaluate, and validate new materials and manufacturing methods
Create and execute test plans, analyze results, and generate technical reports
Collaborate with design teams to influence material selection and ensure compliance
Process Optimization & IntegrationDevelop and optimize additive manufacturing and digital fabrication processes
Support capital equipment evaluation and implementation
Document manufacturing improvements and ensure traceability
Cross-Functional CollaborationServe as a subject matter expert to resolve technical challenges
Partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams
Lead on-site training to qualify personnel on new technologies
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
Minimum 2+ years of technical experience in advanced manufacturing or additive manufacturing
Hands-on experience with 3D printing, scanning equipment, and CAD software
Strong understanding of metallic and non-metallic materials and structural bonding
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
Preferred QualificationsSolidWorks experience
AS9100 or aerospace quality systems experience
Familiarity with material qualification programs
Experience with statistical data analysis and process improvement
Knowledge of polymer matrix composites and advanced alloys
Experience supporting technology implementation in production environments

Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
