Are you a driven Manufacturing Engineering Leader with a passion for project delivery, process optimisation, and continuous improvement within a highly engineered, mission-critical environment?
I’m supporting a leading defence and maritime engineering organisation delivering advanced multi-mission systems used by allied naval forces worldwide. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Lead to play a pivotal role in project engineering, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across complex production environments.
The Opportunity
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role where you will take ownership of manufacturing processes, resolve complex technical and production challenges, and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, quality, and delivery.
You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimise production flow, improve sequencing, enhance equipment utilisation, and ensure the successful delivery of critical defence programmes.
Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot manufacturing and production issues, estimating time and resource requirements

Develop and maintain operation sheets and manufacturing documentation

Identify and implement process improvements and CI initiatives

Optimise sequences of operations, equipment usage, and production flow

Support project engineering activities across complex, low-volume, high-value programmes
What We’re Looking For

Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline

Strong background in manufacturing engineering, project engineering, and continuous improvement

Lean / Six Sigma experience (certification preferred)

Experience within regulated, high-integrity engineering environments

Eligible to obtain full UK Government Security Clearance (active clearance advantageous)
