What are your contributions to the team?
- Produce and update advanced assembly manuals and manufacturing process sheets for the production and assembly of aircraft components.
- Interpret, verify, and approve technical drawings and documents from engineering.
- Define complex assembly and manufacturing strategies tailored to requirements.
- Identify or define the necessary tools to ensure compliance with geometric tolerancing.
- Coordinate the implementation of engineering changes in collaboration with production, quality, logistics, and engineering teams.
- Actively support production by resolving technical issues with the relevant departments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of methods and participate in research and development projects.
- Plan and coordinate activities, monitor complex projects at each phase, organize reviews, and communicate progress.
- Demonstrate leadership, influence constructively, and promote best practices across multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop work methods and tools for the team.
Areas of Application:
- Structure Manufacturing: Machining and forming of metal parts (aluminum, titanium) on conventional or CNC machines (high-speed machining, chemical milling, shot peening, bending, drilling, etc.).
- Structure Assembly: Assembly of structural components made of various materials through riveting, cold forming, etc. (aluminum, titanium, steel, or composite).
- Composites: Manufacturing of aircraft components using composite materials.
How to thrive in this role?
You hold a college or university degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace manufacturing, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, electromechanics, or a related field.
You have over ten (10) years of relevant experience and possess expertise in one or more of the following areas: aerospace structure manufacturing, large assemblies, manufacturing processes, or composite materials.
You have a strong understanding of assembly techniques and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles effectively.
You interpret technical drawings with ease, demonstrate strong 3D visualization skills, and showcase a solid analytical mindset.
You are proficient in Catia V5, SAP, Enovia, AutoCAD, and the Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of Siemens NX, MACPAC, and 3D modeling is considered an asset.
You demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills and work autonomously while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
You show perseverance, exercise sound judgment, and contribute positively to your work environment.
You communicate fluently in spoken and written French; proficiency in English is an asset.
