Morson Edge are looking for Skilled Fitters to join a major Aerospace manufacturing programme based in Filton.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile aircraft production environment working on metallic structural assemblies within a wing build programme.

• Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday

• 07:00 – 16:15

• Skilled (without Stamp): 19.40 per hour

• Skilled (with Stamp): 20.19 per hour

• Weekday Overtime: 24.25 rising to 25.24 with Stamp

• Weekend Overtime: 29.10 rising to 30.29 with Stamp

You will operate as a multi-skilled structural fitter within an aircraft production environment, working to engineering drawings and standard operating procedures to deliver right-first-time quality.

A metallic structural trade test will be required on site, covering drilling, riveting, countersinking and bolting.

• Percussion riveting

• Drill / Ream / Countersink in panels using Vanmar tooling

• Setting structures in build jigs

• Deburring and fettling of structures

• Localised aluminium treatment touch-up

• Use of CNC pillar drills (DONAU)

• Timely clearance of work phases via SAP

• Highlighting non-conformance issues to the Process Team Leader

• Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and housekeeping

• Level 3 indentured apprenticeship in a relevant discipline or NVQ Level 3 with 3–5 years Aerospace experience

• Previous manufacturing experience within an aircraft production environment preferred

• Ability to work to standard operating procedures

• Comfortable working within small teams

• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles desirable

• Strong communication skills and proactive approach
