THE WORK
This position in an ON-CALL Position and employee may not work more than 1000 hours in 1 year. Perform as a student services scheduler to provide effective administrative support during the students’ course of training. The Scheduler will compile data, produce and distribute rosters, reports, certificates, training and entry authorization lists, and schedules.

Performs as services coordinator for students in resident training. Will assist with estimating the housing and transportation requirements for a training program, as defined by the training schedules. Will determine and project the number of apartments and/or hotels are required and how many transportation bus trips are required.

Develops and publishes a student indoctrination guide for each customer to explain training center attendance policies. Will coordinate the students’ initial orientation briefings/appointments with other required agencies. Provide training center student briefings to all new students on their first day of class.

Coordinate all transportation requests as applicable for student pickups at the airport, transportation to and from local quarters, to and from training facility and provide weekly student shopping trips as required. Provide assistance to resolve student issues such medical needs, banking problems, telephone, internet and TV service issues. Work with local lodging providers with student accommodations.

Work with local medical providers to make appointments. Work with local military base for support of international military training students on international travel orders.

Basic Qualifications:
Skill required to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions include planning and managing projects; preparing and maintaining accurate records; and adhering to safety and training center practices. Must be knowledgeable to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and solve practical problems.

Additionally, specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include business telephone etiquette; the ability to schedule student group activities, meetings, and/or events as required; and consider a variety of factors when using equipment.

Flexibility is required to work with others; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate standard audio video equipment using standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a diversity of individuals; work with a variety of data; and utilize specific, job-related equipment. Some problem solving may be required to identify issues and select action plans. Problem solving with data frequently requires independent interpretation of guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is limited to moderate.

Specific ability-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include communicating with diverse groups; meeting deadlines and schedules; working as part of a team; and working with frequent interruptions. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to students of diverse background and experiences. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job; work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
